Symptoms of burn out include feelings of depletion or exhaustion, feelings of distance from one’s job, and reduced professional efficacy. According to Dan Schawbel, research director at HR advisory firm Future Workplace, burnout is an epidemic and will likely worsen in time. As vendors, it is important to be flexible when it comes to keeping users engaged. A client who is understood and enjoys working with a helpful vendor will likely renew a contract, even in times like the coronavirus pandemic.
